Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction

The Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction is a state university with more than 9000 students. Languages of instruction are Azerbaijani, Russian and English. The university offers undergraduate, bachelor and Ph.D. programs in the following specialties:

• Architecture, Construction,

• Water Economy and Engineering-Communication Systems,

• Transportation,

• Construction Technologies,

• Construction Economics,

• Mechanics and Information technology

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) accredits the Faculty of Architecture in 2019. Recently, the accreditation of Preparatory Faculty for Foreign Students is implemented by the University of Leicester, England.

The University's laboratories, workshops, training centers, equipped with the modern equipment, are at the disposal of students, teachers and researchers. Knauf- Training and Consulting Center "Accessory," Construction Center, "Tamiz Shahar Center", Innovative Business, Incubator Center, “Embawood Studio”, Design Center has been developed at the university as a result of cooperation with famous companies and participating in international projects.

Our mission is to create a university which pioneers education, scientific research, technological development and artistic work aimed at the progress of society and the increase of the quality of life within an understanding of national and international solidarity; and educates creative, enterprising, questioning and ethical students equipped with universal values, who constantly renew themselves, aim for lifelong learning and are capable of analysis and synthesis.

Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction attributes great importance to international exchange in teaching and research, and promotes the cooperation with universities and other partners worldwide. The international orientation includes all aspects of university life: research, teaching and administration. As at January 2018, the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction has more than 100 partner universities across the world. The university maintains a number of cooperation in research and teaching, including 2 (Erasmus+ and Mevlana Exchange Program) programmes for student exchange. We have double diploma programs with Istanbul Technical University, University of Northampton, England, University of A Coruña, Spain, Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, Portugal, and Lisbon Technical University, Portugal. A contract on a double degree was signed between the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction and CNAM the International Institute of Management, France for the specialty of Construction of Engineering Systems and Structures within the EU Project "Professional Bachelor in open and distance learning for energy and environmental performance of buildings in the Russian Federation, China, and Azerbaijan" in 2019. AzUAC is planning to carry out Double Degree Programmes with Istanbul Technical University, Yildiz Technical University, and La Sapienza University.

Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction ranked the Multirank rating database in 2017 with the Faculty of Mechanics and Information Technology and Construction. It should be noted that our university was included in this rating for the first time in 2015 and was highly rated by European experts. In the QS rating of the “Developing Eastern Europe and Central Asia” region (EECA), AzUAC has been ranked among the best universities for three years. Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction has been in listed in the RUR RANKING since 2017. AzUAC is the only Azerbaijani university that is included in the international RUR ranking system. Since 2017, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction has been included in the UI Green Metric World University ranking database in the list of the most environmentally friendly universities in the world. It should be noted that the Green Metric UI rating has been published by the Indonesian University since 2010. Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction is ranked 453th among 619 best universities in the world.
